The idea
Light built into the deck
DEXLIT replaces the idea of lighting a deck only from surrounding fixtures. Its light-guiding modules make the surface itself part of the lighting design, with illuminated lines, contours, logos and patterns built into a made-to-measure deck.
The finish is not limited to synthetic teak. PVC decking, EVA, wood, resin, carbon, cork and other suitable materials can be combined with a light pattern designed for the vessel. The result can be a discreet white outline, a personalized bathing platform or an entire deck with changing color and movement.
Every project is planned around its intended use, available space and installation requirements. DEXLIT can be specified for a new build or fitted over a suitable existing deck during a refit.
Product lines
Choose your DEXLIT system
The three product lines share a modular construction and a choice of surface materials. Their differences are in the lighting, interaction and temperature-control features.
DEXLIT
Warm or cool white lighting for custom lines, contours, yacht names and lettering. Suitable for projects where a fixed light pattern and a white-light finish are the priority.
DEXLIT PRO
Digital RGBW lighting adds color, dimming, animations and scenes. Integrated sensors allow the deck to respond to touch, vibration, music and motion.
DEXLIT ULTRA
All the lighting and interaction features of PRO, with an internal fluid circuit for deck heating and cooling. Separate zones can be controlled to suit the areas in use.

Scenes
Change the lighting to suit the occasion
Use white light for a quieter setting, color to define different areas, or animated scenes when the deck becomes part of an event. DEXLIT PRO and ULTRA control LED groups individually, allowing borders, walkways and seating areas to carry different lighting treatments.
Scenes and sequences can be selected through the app. Custom patterns and sensor zones are planned for each installation rather than restricted to a single standard deck layout.

A deck that responds to music
DEXLIT PRO and ULTRA respond to sound and vibration, bringing movement into the deck lighting. Depending on the installation, connection to DJ equipment is possible through options such as audio input or DMX / Art-Net.
The same system can provide a steady lighting scene when music response is not required. Controls and integration are specified around the vessel and the way its deck will be used.
DEXLIT ULTRA
Cooler decks in summer. Warmth when the temperature drops.
The world’s first fluid-cooled and heated yacht deck. Patent pending.
Cooler decks in peak summer, warmer decks in spring, fall and winter.
A deck exposed to direct sunlight can become uncomfortable underfoot. DEXLIT ULTRA circulates dielectric heat-transfer fluid through channels inside the modules, allowing the surface to be cooled or warmed using one circuit.
A mixing system allows separate zones to be controlled, such as a bathing platform or seating area. Heating and cooling can operate with or without the lights, making the system useful beyond its visual effect.
Supporting thermal equipment is selected for the vessel and deck area. ULTRA can use appropriate heat sources and cooling equipment to extend comfortable deck use through different seasons.
Customization
Choose the surface and the light pattern
The surface, illuminated pattern and branding are designed together. Specify traditional-looking deck lines, geometric shapes, a yacht name or a bespoke graphic, then choose a material suited to the area and its use.
PVC decking, foam-resin decking, EVA, teak, other wood, resin, carbon and cork are among the available options. Surface thickness and installation requirements vary, so the final construction is specified for each project.
Applications
From yacht decks to smaller watercraft
DEXLIT can be specified for complete yacht decks, bathing platforms, cockpits, side decks, gangways, stairs and interior areas. Smaller applications include tenders, RIBs, jet ski standing areas and watertoys such as the Mo-Jet BEAST jetboard.
The Mo-Jet BEAST demonstrates an underwater application of DEXLIT lighting. Underwater use requires a specially specified configuration with appropriate IP68 LEDs and connectors. Surface material, build height and protection are selected for each installation.

Inside a DEXLIT deck module
Each module combines a chosen surface with a light-guiding cast acrylic core and integrated LEDs. PRO and ULTRA can add interactive sensors, while ULTRA includes internal fluid channels for heating and cooling.
The modular construction allows an individual module to be replaced if damaged. The final build depends on the product, surface and application, with DEXLIT and PRO starting from 5 mm (0.20 in) and ULTRA from 22 mm (0.87 in).
